There are two options for my program seating arrangement for the after dinner program.
OPTION #1
STAGE PROGRAM
If you would like to have the audience stay in the same seats they had dinner in and then watch the show we would suggest Paul Gertner’s stage program. This would be a program designed to be visible for larger audiences and performed on a platform or small elevated stage.

OPTION #2
UP CLOSE THEATER SETTING
Because this is an intimate group of 40 people an even more powerful program can be provide by adjusting the seating arrangement for Paul Gertner’s program. In this option the audience would first have dinner… and then following dinner they would move to a separate seating area in the room for Paul’s performance that is set up as shown in the seating chart below. In this seating arrangement the audience is MUCH CLOSER to the magic and this arrangement allows Paul Gertner to perform more of his original sleight-of-hand illusions that he is known world wide for… including the magic that he has performed on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. Paul has appeared twice on this highly rated TV show and yes he Fooled Penn & Teller. The condition here is the audience after having dinner moves to this performance area and they watch the show seated around the table .

PROGRAM DETAILS
1. We strongly recommend that the program be started AFTER the dinner has concluded. It’s really not possible for people to enjoy a magic show which requires their visual attention when there is a nice hot meal sitting in front of them. The program should begin once desert and coffee has been set on the table… or if doing the UP CLOSE THEATER… they would then move to the new seating area at the conclusion of the dinner.
1. Both program options would include a performance of strolling magic during the cocktail reception This is a perfect icebreaker and it gives Paul a chance to get to meet the audience and give them a small sample of the magic getting them excited about what the show that is to come following dinner.
2. Both program options would include a customized script in which Paul will weave the message of Embracing Transformation into a few of his illusions to help reinforce the message of the meeting.
3. We would include 4 of Paul’s Technology Magic Illusions from his show Braindrops into either of the two show options. He would perform the iPad Mind Reading, The Technology Bottle Illusion, The iPad BrainDrops Illusion (Ipad on his face) Illusion, and the Interactive iPhone Audience Illusion. These are all unique original routines created by Paul on only performed by him.
4. Both program options include Paul’s customized USHUFFLED illusion that he fooled Penn & Teller with. But for this show it will be customized to have either the name CITIBANK or the word TRANSFORMATION magically appear on the side of the deck. You can see this trick as Paul performed it on Penn & Teller Fool Us TV show in the clip below, but remember for your show it will be customized with a special message that you want to reinforce to the audience.

5. Both show options have minimal AV requirements. If doing the Stage Option#1 a microphone, hands free headset and some type of platform or elevated stage would be required along with some basic lighting for the stage area. If using the Up Close Theater Option #2 there is no microphone required, but some basic lighting on the table area by Paul’s seat would be required.
6. Because the audience will have been seated for a full dinner we recommend the length of the program be 45 minutes. We of course can make it a 60 minute program if desired but we normally do the longer program for a keynote presentation when there is not a dinner prior to the presentation.
OPTION #3
PAUL GERTNER STROLLING SLEIGHT-OF-HAND ONLY.
7. Finally there is also the option of just having Paul join you with his sleight-of-hand magic and not a formal After-Dinner Stage Program. In this format Paul would perform strolling sleight of hand magic during the cocktail hour. Then during dinner (only in between courses) and during coffee and deserts he would move from table to table performing 10-15 minutes at each table. This would only work if there are only 4-5 tables of 8-10 people per table. This way instead of the audience moving Paul comes to them. This format would include Paul performing the UNSHUFFLED trick with the CITIBANK or TRANSFORMATION word on the side of the deck.
This format would work very well with this size of group and also be a bit less expensive because there would be no stage show or customization of the show with a company message. Paul would be performing only strolling magic and not a customized stage program with all of the iPad Magic Illusions.
